MP gives revamped Voice offices seal of approval
MP Steve Double in the revamped St Austell office

MP Steve Double popped into the St Austell Voice offices in Old Vicarage Place this week to see for himself the refurbishment and upgrades.

He saw the redesigned floor plan complete with privacy screens, state-of-the-art LED ceiling lighting and a bespoke climate control heating system.

The offices have undergone a massive top to toe refit – making them the perfect media hub as well as a community space too.

Since the Voice became part of the Indpendent Media group in December, owner Peter Masters has invested thousands of pounds ensuring that both the St Austell Voice and Newquay Voice offices offer the best possible environment for staff, readers and advertisers alike.

The revamped offices are scheduled to be completed soon and will also feature fast fibre optic broadband connections as well as a space age computer system.

Mr Double was impressed. “I think that it’s fantastic that the St Austell Voice has committed itself to remaining in the town centre. I know that in the ever-changing world of digital media there remains a place for a traditional printed local community newspaper.

“They provide a vital service in my eyes, relaying community content that would never make it online and as such my constituents rely and trust their content. Having been a frequent visitor to the old offices I can say what a pleasure it is now to see how fantastic it looks – and well done to them.”
