British Legion club fears closure
St Austell´s British Legion club has issued an SOS

St Austell’s cash-strapped Royal British Legion club may be forced to close, it emerged this week.Voice reporter Natasha Swift revealed the extent of the club's financial difficulties in a front-page report. “We need you” is the message from the Duke Street branch to members. They are being told that the club could be forced to close within 14 days due to financial issues. The Voice has spoken to club secretary Paul Carr-Griffin, who said members needed to start using the club or donating if they didn’t want to see its doors closed in a matter of weeks. The full report and interview is in this week's St Austell Voice.
